Through the support of our Offsetrs we have planted over 20,000 trees (so far!) in Madagascar. There is still a long way to go to reverse the terrible deforestation that has taken place and negatively affected both the Madagascan people and the native animals alike. It is estimated that 70% of Madagascans live on under $1 per day. With 60% of the population under the age of 25 there is a real opportunity to make positive changes here firstly with job creation through planting trees and then with education efforts in the country.
